With Taiwan’s e-commerce and logistics industry growing rapidly, distribution centers handle massive order volumes and dynamic delivery routes every day. The client aimed to achieve real-time fleet visibility, improve dispatch efficiency, reduce operating costs, and ensure temperature-sensitive goods such as food and pharmaceuticals are transported under optimal conditions.

To achieve these goals, Kouei System Ltd. (a Panasonic subsidiary) partnered with SYSTECH to implement an integrated “Taiwan Distribution Center Management System” that combines advanced vehicle planning algorithms with IoT-based fleet telematics technology.

Challenge

• High manual workload: Route and dispatch planning relied heavily on human experience, lacking real-time responsiveness.
• Cold-chain risk: Without temperature monitoring, products were exposed to spoilage and rejection risks.
• Low fuel efficiency: High empty mileage and unnecessary trips increased costs.
• Lack of visibility: Managers could not track fleet status or delivery progress in real time.

SYSTECH’s Solution

Kouei System Ltd. adopted its proprietary Vehicle Planning Expert System and integrated SYSTECH’s GPS, GPRS modules, and temperature sensors to build a unified telematics-driven distribution management platform.

The system enables real-time monitoring of each truck’s location, delivery status, and cargo temperature, while dynamically optimizing routes and dispatch priorities based on live traffic and order changes. It helps achieve:

• Higher dispatch efficiency and fleet utilization
• Continuous temperature tracking for stable cold-chain operations
• Reduced fuel consumption and idle mileage
• Comprehensive visual dashboards for management insights
