Global Environmental Issues and Zero-Emission Technology
Amid increasingly severe climate challenges, countries worldwide are accelerating the development of zero-emission technologies. Heavy diesel vehicles in industrial transport have long been a primary source of carbon emissions, making electrification indispensable. HITACHI’s all-electric dump truck, powered entirely by electricity, achieves zero emissions, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of transportation.

HITACHI’s Innovative Product: All-Electric Dump Truck
This electric dump truck is designed by HITACHI to meet the demands of heavy transport, combining environmental protection with high performance.
- ・Pure Electric Drive: A complete zero-emission electric system that significantly reduces environmental impact, while also lowering noise levels, enhancing the overall experience at work sites.
- ・Efficient Lithium Battery: Equipped with a high-capacity battery pack that ensures long operation times, with fast charging capabilities to further increase work efficiency.
- ・Stable Power Output: The powerful electric motor provides instant high torque, operating stably even in harsh conditions, meeting the rigorous demands of industrial transport.

Zambia: Pioneering Sustainable Resources for Electric Mobility
In this project, Zambia plays a crucial role not only as a supplier of raw materials but also as an important partner in production and technology. Zambia is rich in copper and cobalt resources, essential raw materials for battery manufacturing. To support the development of the electric vehicle industry, the Zambian government, in partnership with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), established a special economic zone focused on the development and production of batteries and electric vehicle technologies.
This collaboration not only places Zambia as a key link in HITACHI’s electric vehicle supply chain but also creates more employment opportunities while boosting the local economy. It also symbolizes Zambia's active participation in the global environmental protection and industrial transformation processes, contributing to the achievement of global zero-emission goals.

SYSTECH’s CAREU U1 Lite+ Data Monitoring Solution
In this project, SYSTECH’s CAREU U1 Lite+ tracker provides powerful support for data monitoring in heavy-duty vehicles, enhancing precision in operation management and environmental benefits. A customized version of U1 Lite+ was also developed according to the client’s business needs to better align with the project requirements.
- ・Data Monitoring and Analysis: Equipped with LTE, RS232 interface, and CAN Cable, the U1 Lite+ system can receive vehicle battery data through the J1939 protocol and display battery status and energy consumption to the driver in real-time.
- ・Accurate Interpretation and Presentation: Custom firmware classifies and precisely transmits different CAN data, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- ・Industrial-Grade Durable Design: U1 Lite+ has a sturdy structure and low-power design, suitable for stable operation in harsh environments, providing reliable data transmission support for vehicles.
・Environmental Impact and Benefits: The U1 Lite+ data monitoring system not only improves vehicle operational efficiency but also reduces energy waste, supporting HITACHI’s environmental goals for the truck.
